Data you record
Littlebit stores the information you enter: your baby's nickname, date of birth, sex, and the pregnancy week at birth if you add it, feeding, sleep, and diaper logs, pumping and milk stash records, solid food logs and reactions, temperature, medicine, vitamin, and symptom logs, activities such as tummy time and baths, teeth and potty training logs, moments and their photos, a pregnancy checklist, growth measurements, vaccines, and developmental milestones, plus your own habits (habits stay on this device only). This data is stored on your device and is never sent to the developer's server. Our analytics and purchase-notification server does not receive baby records.
Photos you add to moments are chosen by you in the system photo picker; Littlebit only receives the photos you pick. They are stored on your device, and in your iCloud if you use Family logging, never on our servers.
The weekly summary is worked out on your device. Where Apple Intelligence is available, its short opening sentence is written by Apple's on-device model; your records are not sent to Apple or to us for this.
If you use Share an update, the summary you choose is sent through the app you pick, such as WhatsApp. Littlebit does not send it anywhere by itself.
Family logging (iCloud)
This feature stays off until you invite a family member yourself. When you share, your baby's records are copied to your own iCloud (Apple's CloudKit service) and shared only with the people you invite. If you join someone else's family log, what you record is stored in the iCloud of the person who invited you.
This data is stored and transferred by Apple under the Apple Privacy Policy. As the developer, we cannot access the contents of your iCloud. You can stop sharing at any time in Settings > Family logging > Stop sharing (or Leave family).
Data we don't collect from the app
- No account sign-up, email address, or phone number.
- No advertising identifiers, cross-app tracking, or ads.
- No access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
App activity and technical metadata
When you open Littlebit while online, the app sends a randomly generated installation identifier, its first recorded open time, app version and build, iOS version, and your App Store country or region when available. While the app is open, it sends a small activity update about once a minute. Offline opens are reported when a connection is available. The country is your App Store region, not your physical location; we do not request GPS access.
We verify Apple-signed app and purchase information and retain the app-specific transaction identifiers needed to associate activity with Littlebit Pro. These identifiers can link activity and purchases across devices using the same Apple Account, without disclosing your Apple Account name, email address, or password. Reinstalling the app can create a new installation identifier. For existing installations, the first recorded open begins when you update to a version that supports this metadata; it does not reconstruct earlier use. We use this metadata to measure active users, supported app versions, and conversion from free use or a trial to paid Pro.
The analytics database does not store IP addresses, baby records, health information, photos, names, email addresses, or the contents of individual logging actions. Cloudflare hosts this service and processes network requests to deliver and secure it. We do not sell this metadata, use it for advertising, or combine it with activity in other developers' apps.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, notifications are scheduled directly on your device. No data is sent anywhere for this.
Littlebit Pro purchases
Apple processes payments. Apple's App Store Server Notifications send our server purchase events, including a transaction identifier, original transaction identifier, product, purchase and expiry dates, trial or refund status, price, currency, and storefront, app account token, and app-specific transaction identifier when available. The app may also send Apple-signed purchase history to associate existing or restored Pro purchases with its anonymous app profile. We store these events and use them for purchase administration and sales reporting. We do not receive your card or bank details, name, email address, or your baby's records through these notifications. Purchase events are associated with a persistent transaction identifier; they are not used for advertising or tracking.
You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions. For questions about stored purchase records or a deletion request, contact us using the address below. Your installation identifier is available in Littlebit Settings under About as the Support ID.
PDF reports
Doctor reports are created on your device. A report is only shared if you choose to share it yourself, for example via WhatsApp or email.
Deleting your data
You can delete all data at any time in the app under Settings > Delete all data, or by deleting the app from your device. If you have used Family logging, stop sharing first. The copy in iCloud can be deleted in iPhone Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.
Deleting the app or its local records does not automatically delete metadata or purchase events already received by our server. We keep this information for app analytics and purchase administration until it is no longer needed or a deletion request is processed. To request deletion of the metadata associated with your installation, contact us and include your Support ID. Purchase records may be retained separately for purchase administration.
Children
Littlebit is intended for parents and caregivers, not for use by children. Information about a child is entered only by the parents and stays on the parents' device, or in the parents' iCloud if Family logging is used.
Not a substitute for medical advice
Information in Littlebit is general and does not replace an examination or advice from a doctor, midwife, or other health professional.
